The Company has assembled a diversified portfolio of base metal, gold, and strategic metal exploration projects and either owns or has the right to own through option agreements a 100% interest six projects. The projects range from early stage exploration to advanced stage exploration and development.
Five projects are located in the province of New Brunswick in eastern Canada, a region with a rich 300 year mining history. New Brunswick hosts the prolific Bathurst Mining Camp, ranked along with the Abitibi Greenstone Belt and the Iberian Pyrite Belt as one of the world's top three largest concentrations of volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) Cu-Zn-Pb-Ag+ deposits. Power, transportation (land/sea) and a skilled work-force are readily available in New Brunswick, and the provincial goverment is pro-exploration and mining.
A sixth project, consisting of a large land package with several priority targets, is located in the northwestern state of Sonora, Mexico. Sonora, which borders the United States to the north, Sinaloa state to the south, Chihuahua state to the east and the Gulf of California to the west, became an important colonial mining district for copper, gold, and silver. Today Sonora is renowned for its gold, epithermal gold-silver, and porphyry copper-molybdenum belts. The majority of gold production comes from mines where gold is obtained as a co-product (silver and copper-gold mines) and by-product (polymetallic deposits).
First Narrows' current focus is on the development of its two most advanced projects: the Chester Copper-Polymetallic Feeder Deposit Project, located in the southern part of the Bathurst Mining Camp, New Brunswick; and the Susana D'Oro Gold-Copper Epithermal Vein Project, located approximately 120 kilomerters east of the Sonora state capital of Hermisillo.
Chester: Chester: Hosts the known copper-polymetallic Feeder deposit and associated Central and East zinc-lead-silver VMS deposit, and a cluster of recently discovered airborne geophysical VTEM anomalies (potential VMS mineralization) satellitic to the known deposits. In April 2008, a mineral resource estimate was completed on the near surface portion of the Feeder deposit.
Susana D'Oro: A former small scale producer of gold and copper from three high-grade sulphide zones along a vein greater than 1000 meters (3,280 feet), with at least two additional parallel vein systems present. Plans for 2007 include surface and underground exploration/drilling programs.
